Morning Meetings and Assemblies
All students and faculty gather each morning to share announcements and hear presentations by outside speakers, student poets and musical performers. In addition, several endowed lecture programs enable visits by speakers of national and international importance each year. Recent speakers have included Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland; Sheila Sisulu, former South African Ambassador to the United States; Azar Nafisi, the author of Reading Lolita in Tehran; and Paul Rusesabagina, whose story inspired the movie, Hotel Rwanda.
