Student Activities

At St. Timothy's School, girls have the best of both worlds — a beautiful campus in a rural setting, with four major U.S. cities – New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC – easily accessible by car and public transportation. Our location is one of the qualities that sets St. Tim’s apart and makes a wealth of opportunities available to our students. From field trips to museums and historical sites, to Saturday outings for shopping and movies, we take advantage of all that metropolitan Baltimore-DC and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Our Student Life programs on the weekends are well attended because students help decide what activities are offered. There is plenty to do, and we make it easy for girls to get where they want to go. On weekends, we offer a variety of activities, including trips to the movies and malls, and outings to professional sports events and museums. We encourage boarding and day students to participate in all weekend activities, including our popular trips to New York City for shopping and Broadway performances.

St. Tim’s collaborates with other independent schools in the area for mixers, dances, and other activities throughout the year. We also serve on the Boarding Schools Social Activities Committee, which as more than 20 school members. This provides our girls with the added opportunity to make friends from other schools and attend coeducational events.
