Dixon Hall is where you’ll find the St. Timothy’s library, and we’d challenge you to find a more inviting place to study. The brand new, state-of-the-art facility provides a beautiful setting to foster an environment of inquiry, creativity, and effective use of information. The library is a blend of old and new, with more than 19,500 books and periodicals on high density rolling shelves, 400 multimedia materials, 16 networked iMac computers, and ever-expanding online resources, including access to the National Archives, the Smithsonian, and the Library of Congress.

The library promotes an open culture for learners to exchange ideas, explore collaboration and innovation, challenge new technologies, and learn new approaches by accessing information both within and beyond the walls of the School. It is staffed by a full-time librarian whose role it is to help prepare and support students' success by guiding them in reading for understanding, for exposure to diverse viewpoints and genres, and for pleasure  embracing the world of information and all its formats  and ensuring equitable access and responsible use of information.
