Cookout and Blessing of the Animals
Our Chapel on October 3 honors the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi (c. 1180–1226), patron saint of animals and the environment, with a yearly Blessing of the Animals service in the Amphitheater at Dixon Hall. Parents are invited to join us for the cookout featuring chili with all the fixins and encouraged to bring their pets for the blessing of animals. We love to have dogs, cats and fish to bless as a part of the service and students love to see their pets at this special service!
