St. Tim’s rolls over St. John’s

The St. Tim’s girls took the long ride to the rolling hills of Frederick. The long trip was well worth it as they rolled over St. John’s 6-0. Heather Diehl opened the scoring in the first minute and set the tone for the rest of the game. Courtney Baker then made it 2-0 shortly after. While the St. Tim’s girls had chances virtually every couple minutes after that, there was a bit of dry spell as they couldn’t find the back of the net. Natalia Boumatar changed that with a quick free quick that sailed over the head of the keeper who seemed to be gazing at the football team playing on the neighboring field. After the half time whistle the St. Tim’s girls made the necessary adjustments and started finding the back of the net quickly. Courtney Baker scored another with Emily Schaffath and Chloe Clark rounding out the goal total. After putting in a good shift many of the starters exited the field and allowed the second string to try their luck. Eval Eniman Imoke came close to putting one more in but came up a bit short. At the end of the day, it was a good showing for the girls and a convincing win.
