Varsity Volleyball shuts out St. Frances

On Thursday, St. Timothy’s Varsity Volleyball traveled to face St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. During the first set, St. Frances took an early lead 5-1, but then sophomore Ariyanna Crewe served 16 in a row with 6 aces to bring the score to 17-5. St. Tim’s was able to close out the first set 25-7. 
 
The second set started off slowly, but steadily with solid serving by Melisa Kocak, Anna Trybus, Crewe, and Hannah Mays. Freshman Madonna Akabuno then served 7 in a row to bring the score 22-6. St. Tim’s won the second set 25-9.
 
The third set began well for St. Tim’s when Crewe served 8 in a row to bring the score to 9-5. Akabuno and Leena Feda both served 4 in a row helping St. Tim’s to win the third and final set 25-15.
 
St. Tim’s will honor their seniors at the next game, home on Tuesday at 5:30PM versus Garrison Forrest.
