Field Hockey Wins Third Straight

St Tim's used 4 second half goals to pull away and beat Baltimore Polytechnic Institute at home Wednesday afternoon. The first half was dominated by St Tim's who tallied 7 shots on goal, but only one of them found the back of the net when Senior Captain Gwen van Doren scored on a reverse shot from the top of the circle midway through the first half. Hannah Malloy started the scoring 6 minutes into the second half by deflecting a pass across the mouth of the goal by Van Doren. Junior Captain Symone Welch would notch the third St Tim's goal off a rebound with 13 minutes left in the game. St Tim's would capitalize on two corner plays in the final 5 minutes as Senior Margaux Seitz scored from a Welch set up with a long push from the top of the circle. Junior Captain Olivia Palermo would set up classmate Cas Colmenar for the final goal fo the day. Sophomore goalkeeper Mia Hembling made 3 saves to preserve the shutout for St Timothy's.
