The IB Assesses More than Examination Techniques

IB assessments are summative, largely taking place over the two years of the program, and focusing on what students have learned, rather than what they haven’t learned. St. Timothy’s students agree that while testing is rigorous, they feel well prepared, particularly with two weeks set aside in the spring of their senior year for mock examinations. With no grade inflation for more than 30 years, the IB Diploma Program is a reliable and internationally consistent measure of academic excellence.
