STT v Park
STT lose tight match with Park School.
The first time these two team met, STT lost 8 - 0. In this rematch, STT would not go down so easily. STT gained an early lead and the score was 4 - 1 at half time. Park came out in the second half with a vengeance, scoring 4 goals in rapid succession to gain the lead. STT later equalized, bringing the score to 5 -5. Park then scored a late go-ahead goal. In the final moments, STT had a few promising attacking opportunities, but were not able to break through for an equalizer.
All five STT goals were scored by Sophia Looney. The first goal was unassisted with the others coming from assists by Cora Martin, Natalia Boumatar, Meg Bowen and Caroline Salim, respectively. MaryAnn Salim recorded 12 save. It was an exciting, hard fought match that provided a modicum of vindication from our earlier loss to Park.
