From deciding whether private school is the right fit for you to visiting our beautiful Greenspring Valley campus, our admission team is here to assist you.  We look forward to getting to know you and your family while we guide you through the necessary application requirements and programming to determine if St. Timothy's School matches your educational goals.

Since 1832, St. Timothy's School has been a trailblazer in girls’ education, partnering tradition with innovation. Our proven ability to develop strong female leaders has been replicated decade after decade with unquestionable outcomes. St. Timothy's School is committed to high standards of scholarship, citizenship, and personal responsibility. Through a rigorous liberal arts curriculum, extensive co-curricular program, and supportive residential environment, St. Timothy's encourages each girl to develop an inquisitive and creative mind, sound body, and strong moral character.

Our academic program is grounded in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and is mission driven, global in scope, and highly personalized. It evolves in response to the changing world and the needs of each student. It emphasizes the liberal arts, exposing girls to timeless questions while preparing them to address the pressing problems of our world. We focus on establishing courses and programs that are engaging, relevant, interdisciplinary, and experiential. Our classes are student-centered and discussion based. Our teachers practice a mastery approach to learning and assess student growth through authentic tasks and projects. Our students value collaboration, problem solving, inquiry, and social responsibility.

Finally, a St. Timothy's School education provides our students with connections that will last a lifetime.   Our students are connected to a strong, active, and engaged global alumnae network.  And, because a St. Timothy's education is an uncommon experience held in common, our graduates find that they share traditions and memories with alumnae from across generations and around the world.

"St. Timothy’s School is an absolute gem where girls can truly grow into their full selves, supported by fellow students who sincerely wish the best for one another and engaging, dedicated faculty who get to know each student.

The camaraderie of the student body is evident every day I’m on that beautiful campus, whether it’s the bedlam of the annual Brownie-Spider competition, classmates cheering on their friends at a sports event, or just the laughs outside the Five Arts Center on a spring afternoon.

The International Baccalaureate program not only challenges and prepares the students well for college, but it also draws an international cohort that gives the school a dimension that few can match. Whether it’s listening to a Monday night dinner presentation led by a student from Ukraine, or visiting the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., alongside a German classmate, or meeting with the Jordanian ambassador during the exceptional Winterim program, St. Timothy’s students grow to understand and appreciate how we are all global citizens.

In four years at St. Timothy’s, my daughter made friends from Hungary, Spain, Germany, Mexico, China, Japan, India, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a few others. I often joke with her that she could backpack across Europe and probably stay with a different STT friend every night.

I would recommend St. Timothy’s 1,000 times out of 1,000 to any parents looking for a strong academic, personal and global experience for their daughter."

"Ellie was looking for a school with a strong sense of community and curious learners. As educators, we wanted to find a school that would “see” our daughter as an individual with strengths and challenges and push her personally, academically, and athletically.

We chose St. Timothy’s. During her freshman year, she travelled with the school to Morocco and left the country for the first time. She learned what it's like to be a visitor in another country and what her international classmates feel when they leave home to come to St. Timothy's. Subsequent travel opportunities to the UAE and United Kingdom have sparked a passion for culture, architecture, and politics.

The International Baccalaureate curriculum coupled with a knowledgeable and caring faculty, challenged her to develop as a student, a thinker, and a global citizen.  As she enters her senior year, she is a curious and confident learner. St. Timothy’s athletic program has given opportunities for Ellie to gain exceptional experience as a leader and competitor in three seasons of sports.

Finally, the St. Timothy’s  community is unlike anything we have seen or could have ever anticipated. The traditions, carefully planned and carried out by the administration and students, make the girls feel part of something truly special.  St. Timothy’s is a mixing bowl of culture and curiosity baked in a tradition of community and care. If your daughter is ready to take the leap, there is so much here for her to explore."

"We hoped our daughter would be challenged and discover her purpose when she arrived as a new girl at St. Timothy’s. What she found exceeded all expectations—a caring, loving community wholly dedicated to her growth, education, and character development.

She formed deep friendships, learned the value of hard work both in and out of the classroom, and came to appreciate the importance of serving others. Our family loves St. Tim's."

"In exploring Baltimore high school options for our daughter, St. Tim’s stood out for many reasons, the most meaningful of which being the IB curriculum and the opportunity to learn alongside students from around the country and world. Three of our daughter’s closest friends are from Germany, Mexico, and Spain, and now as they have graduated our daughter feels she has a true global network of girls she trusts and who care about her. The tradition of sisterhood and culture of kindness are evident at St. Tim’s. The faculty and administration are supportive, helpful, and impressively-credentialed.

The IB curriculum is the gold standard in education, and we have come to see why. Our daughter has been challenged to think broadly and critically about solving problems. She has been taught to listen intently, engage deeply, and lead with purpose; and she is more than prepared for college. St. Tim’s truly provides a world-class high school education, outstanding athletic programs, within a beautiful pastoral campus and community."
