Athletics at St. Timothy's

The Athletics Program seeks to provide a high-quality athletic experience by offering a range of opportunities. The goal of the program is to develop well-balanced individuals who exhibit integrity, discipline, athletic principle, teamwork, commitment and an appreciation for lifelong, active living.

Both competitive and non-competitive physical activity is an important part of life at St. Timothy’s School. Our state-of-the-art fitness center includes a weight training and cardio facility, a 90-foot regulation basketball court, training room, and team locker rooms. Our Grass Family Outdoor Athletic Complex includes six surfaced tennis courts, a turf field, a softball field, and grass field.

At St. Timothy’s, we aim for Athletics to be an integral part of an enriching educational experience. The Athletics program supports the Middle Years and Diploma Programs’ mandate for participation in a wide variety of interpersonal, social and physical activities. Participation contributes to overall intellectual, social and athletic development of the student while helping to achieve and maintain a healthy mind and lifestyle.
St. Timothy's is a member of the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM). Our students compete with 29 area high schools in field hockey, soccer, volleyball, tennis, cross-country, basketball, squash, swimming, lacrosse, softball, track and field, and badminton. In addition, the St. Timothy’s ice hockey team participates in the Mid-Atlantic Girls Hockey League (MAGHL).
